Maryland’s Arts & Entertainment (A&E) Districts help develop and
promote community involvement, tourism, and revitalization through
tax-related incentives that attract artists, arts organizations, and other creative enterprises to towns and cities across the State. A&E programs provide tax benefits designed to boost economic development and create districts filled with artists and arts enterprises.
Join us for a public information session on what the Oakland A&E District could mean for you and how we can help!
As part of the designation’s benefits, artists working in the districts can receive an income tax credit. Developers who create spaces for artists to live and work can apply for qualified property tax exemptions for up to 10 years.
